ONGC has issued notice regarding cancellation of gt 2013 and have said that they will refund examination fee to the candidates. I don’t understand why they are refunding fee ? I can conclude only four possibilities now:
1.Reexam (but I think least possibility about this)
2. ONGC will not hold reexam. may be gt 2013 clubbed with gt 2014.
3.They will sign MoU with GATE 2015 and will fill vacancies with GATE Score(max possibility in my opinion)
4.Any other method only known to ONGC
Please note that these are only my opinion not any authorized possibility..
So please don’t spread any rumour and wait for next step of ONGC.
and don’t panic a lot of exams are coming soon like dmrc,ibps,ordnance factory so stay focused rather discussing cancellation.
One of our friend has sent me email regarding ongc cutoff stating that-
“It can be possible, OBC cutoff higher than the general cutoff, because some obc candidates are over aged for general vacancies and get the higher marks than general cutoff and selected only for obc vacancies. Means all obc candidate can not come under the general category...........”

I don’t know how authentic this information is ! but it explains reason of obc/sc/st cutoff higher than general…
So I am relying on this information till any further genuine explanation.
I am really sorry for not replynig your mails due to paucity of time …I am busy in one of my mains exam …I will be free by 21 july….
